Week 22

Omgosh! This week was an adventure and a half! I cannot believe how much fun it is to be a missionary. I’ve been in the Berbice Zone longer than anyone else who is here. I cannot believe the amount of spirit felt this week! Let’s dive in…

Monday: Happy birthday Dad! Today was really run! We got hot dogs from Kim (the best hot dogs on the planet!) And we had 3 great lessons FULL of the spirit. And I got a quote on the front of Elder Hardy’s BOM. It goes like this: “One big book, 15 little books, 239 chapters, 531 pages, 6610 verses…I really like math…1 message-Jesus Lives!

Tuesday: Was my last day with Elder Hardy. We had a great companionship full of great teaching. I’m looking forward to even more! Comp #5 here I come! I stayed in Canje till Thursday with Elder Cooper and Rose.

Wednesday: I don’t know who my companion is yet. Lol We did have a great day today. We went to Sis Junes! It’s the best creole food place ever! And the best part is that Sis June is a member and sassy as ever!

Thursday: I’m just going to point out I STILL don’t know who my companion is yet…this is what happens when you have 6 countries all separated by ocean and plane rides. It’s still pretty fun though! Finally at like 4, my comp showed up! His name is Elder Kyler. He is from Canada, and he loves Star Wars, so it’s perfect. He is a boss! He is a very quiet dude with amazing potential to be an awesome missionary!

Friday: Today we are teaching our guts out! We extended two baptism dates. It was awesome! Sherwin, Claron’s ‘husband’ is going to be dunked on Jan 7 and Sati is on December 31! It’s gunna be boss!

*Ring ring* “Hello, ok, yeah, tomorrow?” Surprise! Tomorrow is Zone conference! Once again…6 countries…LOL

Saturday: Zone conference. It was a skype ZC and we couldn’t hear anything or see anything. But we did learn from what we could understand. However, later that day we extended an invitation to be baptized to Alene! She is going to be baptized on December 10! I can’t wait to see her in white!
This week definitely was an adventure! Elder Kyler is a boss! I love him. I know that we all can be “bosses” too if we rea the BOM EVERY day. Never miss a day! Get ready for more stories about baptisms!

This week we are having some members make us Guyanese Thanksgiving!

I learned something cool this week about administering and ministering. Admin is like all the paperwork, and Ministering is all the teaching.

I love you all so much! I love this quote, “Don’t complain that the roses have thorns. Thank God that the thorns have roses!”

I love you guys!
