Wag wan! What’s up? This week was so much fun. Elder Kyler
and I taught our pants off. This week alone we taught 28 lessons, 18 of which
were to investigators, 17 of which were to investigators with a member present!
It was a great week! I love missionary work. I love Guyana. I love my
companion.
Monday: Today was some definite hard work. We felt like we
just ran around all day long. But it was fun. We asked some members to cook a
bunch of Guyanese food for us because it was thanksgiving! Lol It was really
good!
Tuesday: Exchange! Elder Gibbson and I sent on exchanges
today! We went to all the favorite people so he could meet them. It was fun. We
taught Claron the WOW. She is such a boss that she told us that “if the prophet
asks me to wear a pink tutu I’d do it!” She is so prepared, Keep her in your
prayers.
Wednesday: Today we exchanged back and Elder Kyler and I
went to a funeral that a member had. Sis Polly’s dad had just passed away… It
was sad, but that is why we have the plan of salvation! I love this plan so
much! I know it is true! We also met a bling guy named Paul. What he does for
work is building mini houses! It is so cool! I’m totally going to buy one.
Thursday: So we finally have a senior couple here in Berbice
Zone. So they called me up and asked us if we will take them to a bunch of
people in our branch to meet them. So we did! And then the Petersons took us to
lunch! It was a ton of fun! Tips and Tricks: Get in good with the senior
couple!
Friday: Today we taught Paul again. When we got there, he
was working on his mini house! It was very interesting to see him work. We had
a very strong lesson on the Resurrection. It was so awesome. Another reason I love
the POS!
Saturday: So the church flooded! We spent some time cleaning
it up. Its kinda funny how it works here. Even the members think we run the
church. Fun Fact: I read from the church handbook every day during personal
study. Maybe that’s why? Sati has a baptism date! For December 31! And she told
us that she is totally going to do it! The only thing holding her back is marriage.
But she is going to get married next Friday! Pray for her too.
Saturday: The Carrington Elders stayed the night at our
place today. We stayed up late and got up at 5 (when I’m writing this) so sorry
if it’s a little jumbled. Lol
This week was very fun. Elder Kyler does have moose powers.
He does not have blood. It is, in fact, maple syrup. He can solve a rubix cube
in under 60 seconds. He can play the harmonica, he can do awesome yo-yo tricks
and he is a great and perfectly obedient missionary!
I know that this gospel is true. I love it! The POS is the
way to go! “Our job, as members of the church is NOT to make it back to heaven.
But it is to take as many people back with us as we can.”
Win a soul this week! Help someone. Share the gospel!
I love you all so much! I can feel your prayers!
Love, Elder Andrus
